We live in a society where the internet is becoming pretty much a human need. We must do everything in our power to gain access to fast internet, and it seems that Starlink might very well be the right solution at this time. It’s powerful, dependable and it brings in front a variety of powerful systems that help push the experience to the next level.

At its core, Starlink is a constellation of satellites created by SpaceX with the idea of delivering internet at very high speeds from the orbit. The company creates thousands of small satellites, all of which stay in the low Earth Orbit and they work with the ground transceivers. Some of these will be sold to researchers and the military, others will be suitable for day to day use by regular people.

Space X suggests that they are going to pay around $10 billion in order to create this constellation of satellites and make everything work as expected. They are deploying the first 1440 satellites in a distinct way, by offering 72 orbital planes with 20 different satellites each. They are trying to launch a Starship, basically a rocket that will deploy no less than 400 satellites at once. The idea is to create the satellite constellation fast and provide customers with immediate access to fast and very powerful solutions that they can rely on.

How does it work?

The focus is to connect the ground stations with the satellites in order to deliver fast internet speeds. The satellites will transmit internet signals towards the planet and you will be able to capture the signal and use the internet at a very high speed. It’s a very comprehensive system and one that has the potential to really impress with its resilience, efficiency and astounding value and quality. That’s what really makes something like it stand out of the crowd, and it’s well worth it.

What internet speeds can you expect?

Apparently, the latency expected from the satellites is around 25 to 35 ms. It’s not bad, and it’s expected to get even lower once more and more solutions are coming in. This really goes to show the amazing quality and efficiency, and the value itself is among some of the best that you can find on the market.

According to users that already tested the solution, the download speeds are anywhere from 37 to 60 mbps, and the upload speeds vary from 4.5 to 17.70 mbps. Space X didn’t confirm the speeds yet, but these seem to be the results, based on the situation at hand and all the current information available.

Until the end of 2020, we will have 1080 satellites in the orbit. This really goes to show the true power that satellites has and the tremendous benefits that it brings to the table. It’s incredible, and it definitely shows the unique quality and experience that you can expect in a situation like this. At the end of the day, we will have great internet through Starlink, and the system will only get better in the long run!
